Lisa C. Thompson. Esq., LL.M

Lisa C. Thompson is certified to practice law in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington, D.C. She graduated from the University of Arizona, College of Law with her Juris Doctor in 1995 and in 1997 with her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in international trade law. Lisa’s publications include: Arizona Legal Forms – Debtor-Creditor (Second Edition) and Arizona Legal Forms – Limited Liability Companies and Partnerships (Third Edition). She is also the author of the federal bankruptcy law chapter in the Business Law Deskbook series for Michigan, Minnesota and New Jersey and co-author of the Arizona Business Law Deskbook and the Nevada Business Law Deskbook. The Nevada Attorney published Lisa’s article titled Options for Dealing with Debt and the Stigma of Bankruptcy in its May 2009 edition. In 2010, Lisa authored a chapter published in the new Aspatore book entitled "Inside the Minds: Chapter 7 Consumer Bankruptcy Strategies". Lisa’s publications in Arizona are updated annually so she is always current on the changes in Arizona and bankruptcy law. Lisa has owned her own law firm since 1995 and focuses her practice on bankruptcy, business law, collections, and construction law. She is fluent in Spanish.

Pamela J. Dobbins - Real Estate Paralegal

Since 1972, Pam has worked in the real estate industry serving as both an escrow officer and branch manager of a leading title company and vice president of an independent escrow company. Pam has also worked as a paralegal for the past 17 years supplementing real estate experience with bankruptcy, probate and corporate law. She previously was employed by private developers and a major restaurant chain where she was responsible for the acquisition, development, marketing, sales, construction, leasing and management of real property throughout the United States.

Amanda Raatz

Amanda Raatz joined the Thompson Law Group, P.C. in March 2010. She is originally from New York, where she worked as a Bankruptcy Paralegal for 6 years in consumer bankruptcy before moving to Tucson, AZ in October 2008. Before entering the legal field, she worked as an Admissions assistant and part time registration counselor at a community college in New York. Bankruptcy law interests her because it allows her to help ease the financial burdens of those who come to Thompson Law Group for legal assistance.

Lisannette Ruiz

Lisannette Ruiz moved to Arizona in 2007 from New York City. She has been with the Thompson Law Group since March 2010 and thoroughly enjoys working at the firm because “each day presents an interesting challenge and an opportunity to learn something new.” Prior to joining the team, she designed cabinetry in Tempe, AZ for 2 years. Lisannette will study Technological Entrepreneurship and Management in the College of Technology and Innovation at Arizona State University in the Fall of 2011. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Shanna Benson

Shanna Benson is a Tucson, AZ native and has served as the Business Manager at Thompson Law Group, P.C. since March 2009. She worked for the firm on a part-time basis in several capacities from 2004 to 2010. She has extensive experience in general management, sales, and accounting/finance in the service sector in both Tucson, AZ and San Diego, CA. Shanna graduated with her MBA from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management in 2007. She is currently working toward both her CMA and CPA certifications.
